Dragons of Autumn Twilight (Dragonlance Chronicles, Volume I)
From the time the companions met Goldmoon and Riverwind in the Inn of the Last Home until the end of the book I don't think I've ever had so much fun reading. I loved the characters, and had a lot of trouble putting it down and convincing myself that they didn't exist. I couldn't get over how well developed the characters were and how complex thier personalities and problems were. Even now, only a few months after I finished reading this book, I find myself comparing events in reality to events in this book. I am constantly trying to persuade my friends to read it. This book (along with most other Dragon Lance books) quickly rose to the top of my "favorite book list". I didn't know what I'd read after I'd finished my other books, and I'm sure glad I chose this one. It opened a new world for me to explore. I often feel like "grabbing my hoopak and going on an adventure" with the characters.
